Manage and monitor PBX servers over SSH — from your phone or desktop.
A local-first app, in development, for monitoring and managing Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, FreePBX and Issabel servers over LAN, VPN or an SSH jump host.
PBX servers often sit on a customer's LAN or behind a VPN, so checking one means opening a laptop, finding the right jump host and reading logs by hand. Web consoles differ from one PBX to the next, and most monitoring tools want an agent or a cloud account. PBX Nexus connects straight to your servers over SSH — directly, through your VPN or through a jump host — with nothing installed on the server and no PBX Nexus cloud in between. PBX Nexus is in development and has not been released. The features below describe what the first version is being built to do.
Add servers once and reach them over direct SSH, an existing VPN such as WireGuard, Tailscale or OpenVPN, or a chain of SSH jump hosts.
Password or key authentication, host keys pinned on first use, and a changed host key blocks the connection until you verify it again.
Detects the operating system and whether the server runs Asterisk, FreePBX, Issabel, FreeSWITCH or Kamailio.
CPU, memory, disk, network and service state, plus active calls, trunk and endpoint registrations and SIP response statistics while the app is open.
A deterministic rule engine — not an AI model — flags problems such as a stopped PBX service, a failing SIP trunk, a high rate of SIP errors, low disk space or an inactive fail2ban.
Generate and publish configurations for supported Yealink, Grandstream, Fanvil, Cisco and Poly models, with backup and rollback.
Service restarts, an allowlisted config editor and config backup and restore, each with a preview, a backup first and a way back. FreePBX and Issabel are read-only in the first version.
A full SSH terminal when you need one, and a local, sanitized record of every change made through the app.
Not released yet. Android comes first; Windows and Linux follow.

No. PBX Nexus connects from your device straight to your servers over SSH. Nothing is installed on the server and nothing passes through a PBX Nexus service.
On your device, in the platform's secure store: Android Keystore on Android, DPAPI on Windows and Secret Service on Linux. If no secure store is available, PBX Nexus does not fall back to storing them in plain text.
Not in the first version. FreePBX and Issabel are monitored and shown read-only. On plain Asterisk and FreeSWITCH, PBX Nexus only edits the configuration it created itself.
No. Monitoring runs while the app is open. There are no background agents or alerts while it is closed.
PBX Nexus is in development and there is no release date yet. Use "Tell me when it is ready" and we will email you when the first version is available.
